I love to read books of all genres and also create stories. I have written three children's picture story books, which were all published through a small independent publisher under SJ Dawson.

The company has now ceased trading and so, as of April 2025, I have become self-published, writing under Samantha Dawson. All three books in the Rainbow Dust series are available exclusively on Amazon, in paperback and kindle. Through them, my aim is to take children on fantastical adventures to magical lands.

I am immensely proud of all three of my books which are unashamedly escapism. I love all my characters from Rufus, Lucy's unicorn friend and Mr Gentle in the second book, to Stanley Mouse and the Dueno in the third. Each book increases in age suitability with the  idea that they grow with their audience.

I hope anyone who buys and reads my books love them as  much as I do.

Although I love to write for children, I also write poetry, flash fiction and short stories, one of which was broadcast on Radio Lancashire. I aspire to be a novelist and have two books I am working on; a historical family saga set just before and during WW1 and a true chick-lit.
